Kali, like many gods and goddesses in the Hindu tradition has many forms and aspects. Some of the aspects attributed to her are: time, destruction, creation, and change. She is frequently used as a strong symbol of the divine feminine and is considered by adherents to be the mother of all, and like most mothers is very protective of her children.
