About Amber:

Amber is fossilized tree resin that has been appreciated for its color and natural beauty since Neolithic times. While it is technically not a stone, it has been historically valued as a gemstone since ancient times and thus has enjoyed a rich past as ornamentation and jewelry. Because amber feels different to the touch from gemstones (often described as “warm” compared to crystals and stones) and sometimes contains insect parts, some ancient people considered it to be a living substance that possessed unusually sacred powers. In magic, Amber has been used for nearly every purpose. Its presence is found in countless spells and rituals.
