About Peridot:

Peridot (also called Chrysolite) is a gem-quality olivine and a silicate mineral. In the Middle Ages it was considered to be a stone with healing powers, attributed to curing depression and opening the heart. It was once popularly used as a protective amulet (especially when paired with gold) to guard against enchantments, nightmares, illusions, and the Evil Eye (envy or another unconscious psychic attack).

Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color: olive-green. Its intensity and tint of green varies depending on the specimen’s iron content.

This protective stone is said to guard its wearer or wielder, as well as attract love, calm rage, soothe nerves, and dispel negative emotions.
